That's what the song "Losing my Religion" is about... "I said too much" -- it's like oops I don't want to fuck you over... but I really want to, because I'm all alone -- "in the corner". God allows you to be complacent, because He loves us -- He doesn't want to see us in pain... so that's why He allows sin. But God suffers, do you know why? Because we are apart from Him -- and that's because we are scared to take the cross -- to carry the burden of suffering -- to share in the ultimate sympathy and compassion of the ultimate pain... Take that one person in the world right now who is suffering the most -- the tortured prisoner, the starving child, the maggot infested hermit... who will have compassion for these people? Do we really want to feel bad about it? The only way to have true sympathy is to experience the pain firsthand -- that's why God took the form of Jesus...
