So do you think that the govt. should be able to tell grown adult people that they can't get paid to fuck? Or that they can't get high when they want to have a good time?
If you think about it for a minute...if prostitution were perfectly legal she wouldn't have had to worry about going to jail and wouldn't have gotten mixed up with a criminal crowd to make money.
If getting high were legal (well...it is now for millions of people addicted to prescription drugs), then maybe she wouldn't have gotten involved with street criminals pushing the harder (and cheaper) drugs.
I do think that it's her own fault. Individuals need to figure out how to succeed with the situation that we have in this country.
But I don't think it's right that the govt. can decide what we can and can't do (not talking about killing and stealing...just talking about personal decisions). It turns people into "criminals" when they haven't done anything wrong.
