It's great to find a talented dude especially one who appears to be exploited.
There are umpteen artists abroad who work for peanuts for companies here in the U.S. and Disney is one of the worst. You can get a guy to draw a whole damn movie for a bowl of rice and a vcr.

Problem is two-fold. If the artists aren't thoroughly drilled in copyright and trademark information you run a risk of getting your assets frozen if a problem arises. That's why I don't outsource to countries where the artists may not have access nor study in pop culture and historical illustration and characters. Ya gotta know your history nowadays big time.
If he does know his history he needs to get the fuck outta dodge and get administered by someone honest enough to make him some good loot.
I remember when there were like 3 of us in the west doing adult toons on the web. Then an army of guys tried it and died. Same 3 originals are still kickin where many have fallen. Once he builds a fandom he'll be a-okay but he better get his computer skills together so he can take care of himself.
