Good Morning Vietnam is one of my favorite movies... I got to meet the real Adrian Cronaeur.
In college I DJed at WVAU, the student radio station at AU where Cronaeur DJed before going off to Vietnam in the early 60s. I got to meet Cronaeur my freshman year at the station. Williams played him way over the top. Interestingly Cronaeur and Williams never met before the movie was made.
Barry Levinson the film's director knew Cronaeur at AU when they were both students there...
