And the USA/NATO will do what?

Any tit for tat (quid pro quo) will be a lose-lose proposition.
Stricter sanctions imposed will just create more hostility.
More rhetoric on both sides will just exacerbate and inflame tensions.
What does this have to do with NATO plans to build missile bases in Poland?
