I used to be in the taxi biz in NYC. The first two days of Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha were my favorite days of the year to drive. Used to do like 40 hours with a couple naps in between. You won't be able to get a cab tomorrow either, in NYC, where almost 80% of all cab/livery drivers are Muslim.
In Malaysia, it's officially a two-day public holiday, but everyone takes the week. Like the week between Christmas and New Year's in the States.
Great for my pizza business though - raking it in!
