The wife and I go out to the theatre every few weeks. In Niagara Falls it costs us $9.50 each.
However, Cineplex ass rapes you at the snack counter. $17.95 each for a large popcorn/pop combo.
So a night out at the movie ends up costing us close to $60 bucks (plus gas to drive to the theatre in Niagara Falls).
The $9.50 admission jumps to $12.50 each if it's a 3D or UltraAVX movie. And now Cineplex is test-marketing reserved "premium seating" in its regular theatres for an addition admission cost.
Theatre chains aren't doing the movie production industry any favours with their outlandish price gouging.
