Your understanding of Tesla is like your understanding of everything else....completely innaccurate.
Tesla was never committed, he didnt have a family.
The voices he claimed he could transmit through the air was a little known invention called radio.
Edison didnt beat out his business model, he stole many of Tesla's ideas and took credit for them including the AC motor and AC current technology. Tesla didnt have a business model, his concern was his contributions to mankind, not how much money he could accumulate.
