Porn production (even possession) is illegal. Finding nude models is hard enough--many models consider topless-only to be nude.
It is exceedingly naive to apply the bargirl/p4p mentality to porn production. Your $80 buys you a street walker or bar girl who might or might not show up in the daylight for a shoot, not a beautiful Thai model. In fact, the really beautiful Thai bar girls would turn their noses up at $80/day; many don't want any photos at all.
There is a legit (and semi-legit) modeling market in Thailand, but I would not consider it a porn infrastructure. For any higher-end productions you would have to rent private villas (like in Phuket for example) that are going to be more than your $80/day.
It's great to shoot in Thailand--just not porn.
Thai jails are kinda famous for their hospitality. For me, not worth the risk.
