I see alot of webmaster worried about the new visa regs and the impact it has on the industry. all its doing is cleaning it up. basically a shakedown. many people are calling me worried when there is nothing to worry about. if the sponsors takes whatever measures needed to keep them in business and they understand how to keep there chargebacks down they will be fine.
every sponsor is uniq in what it takes for them to do that.
as far as affiliates go...TGP's, avs's,mailers,SE webmasters etc.
you guys are going to have to be careful in the programs you choose.
Some programs might keep there higher payouts but only pay on active.
some will lower payouts and membership costs if paying on a trial.
but they will have to restructure there site model so it converts better. etc. I'm sure every sponsor is going t do there best to make there webmasters the most. that is the name of the game
we all want your business
there are many factors that you need to keep in consideration when sending to a program.( don't just look at the Payout)
Like I have said may times your best bet is to choose a sponsor who tweaks there sites, text, join pages etc. continuously to keep the conversions good . and works with the webmasters keeping them informed.
the sponsor has to work on retaining them to profit. everyone has there own models or way of doin things. choose the one that make you the most.
Don't worry about the payouts its about the bottom line.
try every sponsor out till you find a good match don't rely on what others do or say about a sponsor. do your own home work.
we are all here to make the webmasters as much as possible and to stay in business.
the payouts don't mean much if the sponsor is doin his job with his sites and converting your traffic to make you the most possible
We have paid $25 on Porn4abuck and have a steady following because the conversions are good.
I will be lowering the payouts on our paid trial program but tweaking things to make that program keep the same steady income for our webmasters. It's always been a never ending battle.
our Free trial programs will be Pulled next week and we will inform all our affiliates using it before it happens.
I would rather send to a program paying $20 on a trial that converts my traffic at 1/400 first page
then a program who pays $40 on a trial converting 1/1000 first page.
also find out if they count first page or second page etc.
do your homework and you will be fine.
