Christ, when I was a kid we had altercations like this on the field all the time while playing pickup games of football, baseball or whatever. I don't recall a grand jury ever getting involved. Sometimes if it was bad enough the parents would get involved, one kid would be marched over to the other kid's house and apologies made. But that's it.

That push&shove&hit lasted about 3 seconds tops, and it's national news. Times have sure changed.
