With that said... Bush, shortly before he left office (as our economy was collapsing) signed a bill demanding these people get a hearing - which is what the problem is now. Seems they do this in DC all the time - they sign a bill but don't fund it. Great, now all of these people cannot be deported until after they have had hearings. Being as they didn't give anyone any money to make this happen, basically all of these people are let go into the general society and forgotten about. We have a bill in Congress that the House refuses to vote on, and instead of giving anyone any money to do anything about this issue Congress wants to talk about it.
You already see what's happening here.... The Republican party is going to refuse to deal with this until the last possible moment and then say "The Democrats failed" and then "We just voted on a bill to take care of this problem". That's bullshit politics.
Fix the problem now.

Walls that keep people out, also keep people in. Can you name any country that has built a wall, that has not turned to isolationism and strict control of it's populace?
Israel is about the closest you get to being a non dictatorship and has walls built to keep people out/in. Do you think the walls solved their problems? Clearly the current news shows they have not.
A wall doesn't solve the issue with illegal immigration, it just adds about 10 mins to the travel time, maybe less..
