It is a horrible job these days, I can't imagine anybody wanting it and by the caliber of the candidates there are few who do.

He was probably silly enough to think that maybe he could help change this country. Sadly he likely under estimated how much hate is out there.
I could understand the hate if he clearly did a bad job from the start and eventual resentment led to hate of the man, however there was hate right from the beginning, which shows this country will not soon fix it's problems.
