I work with the Guardian ad litem program for Florida. We act as advocates for the kids involved in cases where the state is considering taking the child away from the family. We basically try to help the family get it together so that the state won't have to take the kid, and help the kid through the court process, etc... It's very rewarding most of the time because you actually get to help a child that really has no one else on his side to help navigate the system.
