And who's fault is chargin them $100 dollars worth of fees? That's fraud on the sponsors part. Period. Just because they promise a webmaster a $35 signup doesn't justify raping the surfer to do it. Perhaps they should have been looking long and hard at other ways to sell the surfer to justify those numbers. So far the only excuse I've heard is "We never should have been paying that much in the first place" instead of using their damn skulls to come up with a feasable business solution.
The companies practices are especially becoming apparent as a few sponsors (you know who you are) have announced that it is business as usual in spite of the new regulations. I applaud you all.
