I loved Croatia. It's very, very scenic, the floral is bright and really stands out and the architecture reminds me of Italy. Notice the Dubrovnik, Croatia picture is all red rooftops very similar to Florence, Italy. I remember being at the beach on one of their islands. The water looked blue, sparkly and something from a tropical Bahamas picture. But you turn around and it's a giant green forest behind you similar to Northern California (Think Return of The Jedi Planet of Endor Forest). I would look at the beach and think "bahamas" then turn around and think "forest". Was a very surreal contrast.

Mount Etna in Sicily pretty much is smoking 24/7. I don't think I've every visited Sicily and not seen it billowing smoking, LOL.
