There is no problem whatsoever with this thing regarding evolution. That creature has just adapted to it's environment. That's the heart of evolution.

For example eyes have evolved independently to multiple creatures. Reptiles don't have to fuck a duck to get an eye. Evolution happens through gene selection and mutations and we have mutations all the time.
