Disagree all you want to...but no military commander would have ordered the Marines to be housed the way they were. It was upon the Presidents orders that they were housed where they were and how they were. No military commander would have ordered the troops to keep there weapons unloaded. It was upon the Presidents orders that they could not be locked and loaded.
In addition the President was advised by his Secretary of Defense not to send troops into the theater to act as some kind of a peace keeping force. Marines are not trained to keep the peace. Personal micromanagement...by the President playing as Commander in Chief...of those Marines cost 220 of them their lives.
