They're a deeply religious bunch down there. Totally understandable to see some "why God, why?" going on.
But this.... I don't know if ridiculous is the right word. Pathetic may be more apt....
It's as if life is no longer worth living for many of them.
I recall seeing similar looks on faces up here in N America back in 2001.... during 9-11.
