When I was in Mecca, there were many black people that were asking for alms

"You know when I was in Mecca, there were many black people (orang hitam) that were asking for alms. Now, not anymore. How they do it, I don't know? But if they can do it, why can't we?

-- Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in an interview explaining why giving and receiving "alms" will now result in an on-the-spot fine.

"Don't let people see that KL-lites suffer such difficulties- lying on the street, no clothes, torn pants. It's sickening," Syed Ali told Malaysiakini in an interview in Cheras.

Gotta say, the lack of political correctness is refreshing in Malaysia. I respect a place that says: this is how we do things and if you don't like it, leave.
