Do you blame the woman, or the hammer?
The woman of course.

Never hear of a "gun show massacre". Never hear of a "gun store massacre".
There is a huge difference. People at gun shows are all like-minded. They all enjoy guns, they are there mostly for a good time, to talk about their hobbies, to talk home defence, or hunting, or all kinds of other things they have in common. If there is ever crazy violence at a gun show, it will start with a crazy person.

A person armed to the teeth who walks into a so-called "Gun Free Zone" like a school with the intention to shoot people is clearly of a different mindset. He is out to kill. He has the "Me vs them" mentality. He decided hours or days ago when he is going to do, and is about to do it.

That same person could easily walk into a gun show and do the exact same thing. The only difference is that he might die sooner.

Does that mean that the answer to gun violence is more guns? Not to me, and this is why I think Wayne Lapierre is a dangerous stupid fucking idiot. He dumbs-down and over simplifies the problem and tells people that more guns are the solution, when clearly it is not.

The NRA used to be a good organization that promoted responsible gun ownership and gun safety. Today they just scare gun lovers into buying more guns using triggers (haha) such as "Freedom" and "Gangs" and "Drugs" and "Home Invasion". They also use an insane amount of patriotism to push the agenda. They call people who join the NRA Patriots & Heroes. No doubt this selling technique works extremely well, but the cost seems to be increased gun violence, more illegal weapons, and "Militia" types armed with assault rifles pointing at true lawmen.

When there is a major shooting, people are scared and want revenge of course. Wayne Lapierre and the NRA, capitalize on these feelings, and offer that the answer to this rate and terror people feel is to buy more guns.
