A few years ago at the Ottawa Science & Technology Museum, they had 1940's living room set up complete with 40's looking furniture, carpet, props, and a 40's radio playing 40's music and newscasts. It was so cool to sit down in that room - I felt "transported" somehow. Interesting experience.
And if anyone cares, there's a 40's music station on XM/Sirius Satellite radio (Chanel 4 I think).
