I'm ashamed to admit it, but I accidentally left my 6 month old daughter in the car once. It was no more than 5 minutes until I realized it, but it happened. She's older now and a daddy's girl. We (the wife at the time) and I had an every day routine. Since she wasn't working, she would take care of our daughter. Well, for some reason she had plans one day and I was supposed to drop my daughter off at my parent's house. I get to my office, lock my doors, and as soon as I sit at my desk, my phone rings. It's my parents asking where I was. I FREAKED THE FUCK OUT!!! It wasn't hot outside, maybe 75 degree, but just the sheer thought of me leaving my child in the car freaked me out. I'm a great father and I love my children very much. I would have killed myself if something would have happened to her.

My point is, sometimes we get into life's routines. It's not about being a bad parent or that we shouldn't have kids. I was working 10 hours a day running a business and that was my routine. I forgot that it changed.

Now this douchebag that left his kid in the car on purpose. That asshole needs to have a pineapple shoved up his ass and drowned in a port-a-potty!
