A hint for those who can't read Russian:
Yellow: this territory was gifted to the Ukraine by Russian czars (1654-1917).
Blue: this territory was gifted to the Ukraine by Lenin (1922).
Green: this territory was gifted to the Ukraine by Stalin (1939-1945).
Purple: this territory was gifted to the Ukraine by Khrushchev (1954) - yeah, easy come, easy go ;)
Pink (Orange?): the Ukraine before "Russian occupation" (before they came to Russian czar begging for protection against Turks).
These freeloaders cry and blame everybody for centuries, but they never done anything to improve their life.
