Tell me about it. Put away a 40, bang a bitch (no two's, sorry) and still rant and rave cause everyone is going to bed when the sun comes up cause I'm still ready to party!
Now, I throw away 1 or two pints every Friday night and if I am not careful, I cant feel my finger tips for 3 days, cranky 1 day and sore for 2 (though, that might be the pool games, i tend to win a lot, so break a lot and my shifty ribs dont like that)
Here's my advice to drink in old age:
Eat a good base when you start slowly. Something healthy but sticks to the ribs. As your stomach clears the food, its safer then to hit the bottle harder. Hemp hearts into a stirfry with lots of rice or something. Works for me..
For every ounce of booze, 3 ounces of water.
Don't pig out on junk food, you can't clear the toxins and complex shit properly when drunk.
Do NOT go to bed drunk, ever. Sober up first until its just a good buzz. Otherwise, you will have the WORST sleep of your life and for an hour asleep drunk, you basically lose 3 hours of body repair you normally get. You also most like won't hit REM often enough, so toxins will never get cleaned out until the morning when you wake, hence, the body damage and sickness. You also wake up often when sleeping drunk. You don't realize it, but your old body will realize it the next day.
Also, The darker the liquor, the more you'll feel like the shitter...
Avoid cheap stuff, drink higher quality booze and if hard stuff, 45% or more in higher brands. Cheap stuff will make you feel like ass, all the impurities your now old kidneys and liver cannot flush.
Speaking personal experience here.. the only one that doesn't ruin me anymore is clearer bourbon. Maker's Mark seems good for mid-level drink and not too dark.
ALso, throw that manly "I dont break the seal crap" out the window... piss when it demands. Less chance of hangover.
