Been there/done that - and I'd much prefer well water and septic system.

Actually, they've increased water rates drastically since putting in 'smart meters' throughout the city. After the smart meters went in - everyone figured out better ways of conserving water...and since consumption went down the water dept. had to jack the prices to compensate for the loss in revenue.
