Listen you live on a very old continent that's history is filled with war, death, misery and poverty. It's not a surprise that watching players on a bright green field of grass kicking a ball around rather aimlessly amuses you. It's the sport of poverty, hence why soccer also caught on in Latin America when you conquered and exploited those poor Indians.

We in North America haven't known much poverty, not much war on our soil, it takes more to entertain us.
