Do Poop Particles Get on Toothbrushes?
But still the question remains, does fecal coliform get on the toothbrushes when people use the restroom?
The Discovery Channel television show Mythbusters sought to get to the bottom of this. Mythbusters is a group of scientists who use the scientific method to test urban legends.
What they found is that fecal coliform, and therefore "poop particles," are everywhere. It was even found in two control toothbrushes which they stored two rooms away in a kitchen cabinet.
Microscopic poop particles are found outside as well. They?re just a fact of life.
