Saddam was always a dickhead and I never supported our involvement in Iraq. So it always being a lost cause was nothing new on me. The simple fact is if those people were smart enough and capable enough to live in a democracy, they wouldn't still be ruled by dictators today. All of the Middle East is just a clusterfuck of what happens when religion runs the govt.
