I blame the dishonest people in the industry. Surfers and webmaters alike. Scammers, Spammers and flat out thieves.

If everyone were honest, there would be very few chargebacks, Visa/MC would be more agreeable, and all around it would be easier to sell to surfers, because they would be used to a standard of honesty and reliability.

It's going to take a LONG time to repair all of the damage that dishonesty has done to the industry on the whole... if it's even at all possible. But, I think for the time being, you should all just send me your traffic.
