The Scottish people wanted and got a Scottish parliament a few years ago.
What is the point in having a parliament, when you are still under English rule ?
The UK is currently run by idiots, and yes no doubt Scotland would be run by idiots too. America is run by an idiot, Russia, the list goes on.
Everyone knows there will be good points and bad points. But again, the question of "should you be in charge of your own house?". Of course!
