I know a lot of talent, female & male.
Some are very careful with their money and are doing well. I know several that paid off & own homes & cars before they turned 30. Others I know are still broke at 50.
Guys for the most part earn a lot more than the women since they have longevity on their side. Guys can work into their 40s. Women are lucky to make it to 25 or 30. The discrepancy in per scene rate is made up by the number of years.
The fact that there are so few guys also makes it better for them. I just talked to a well known male talent who has been averaging 25 scenes per month for the past 3-4 years at $750 per scene. That's $18,000+ a month. Don't feel too bad for them if you can't save with that kind of income.
