I was hardcore PC / Windows user forever and purchased dozens and dozens of PC's for our business, and had zero Interest in Apple products, UNTIL one day back in 2008 or so, I wanted a laptop that would last a long time for some long flights I had to take. I decided "What the hell, I'll go for an Apple Macbook".
And wow, what a difference. It was fast, it ran EVERYTHING. It came with no extra software I didn't want. I didn't need anti-virus software. It just worked perfectly. Gush gush gush.
I paid $1200.00 for that laptop in 2008, and sold it today in 2014 for $800. It really kept its value too.
Today our business runs on Mac. We have several iMac27's and a couple of Macbook laptops. These machines are sleek, run fast and silent, have much fewer wires than PC's sticking out the back, and look sexy on our desks on top of that. Gush, gush gush....
The only problem we hit was that Quickbooks for OSX did not import data from its Windows cousin, so we were forced to run Windows on one of the Mac's using Parallels. I was sure it would suck, but it runs well! Windows runs as a "Window" of OSX.
So yeah, Apple has won me as a customer and it will take alot to pull me away. No Fanboyism. Just a happy customer.
