My guess is this: The cost of living will now rise in Seattle even further. That will eliminate any small gain made by raising the minimum wage.
And nothing will change...except some politicians get to use this as a populist issue to get more votes and spend more of their sorry lives as bureaucrats that never get a "real job".
If i calculated correctly 15$ hourly x 8 x 5 = 2400$ ,doesn't sound like a too much for minimal wage.
