My grandma died to about the same affect...
she decided since it was a drive down the road that she didn't need her glasses...pulled out of her driveway and crash, gone in an instant...the poor girl that hit my grandma's car was about 22...
well, honestly, NO ONE in our family held it against her... in actuality it was my grandma's fault...and we definately felt sorry for this young girl...
sure my mom's mom died and we lost our last grandparent, but thats nothing compared to being the one that hit her and killed her.
Rest assured, you did nothing wrong and as for this woman's granddaughter I hope she realizes that too...
