Think about it. What does the company have? Some *really* shit, plastic, ugly headphones. No use to apple. A failed streaming service. No use to Apple. Iovine? Some use to Apple to free up the staff doing the deals with the labels.

None of those things are worth $3b.

Apple traditionally buy small companies for the staff, acqHIREs, as they are known.

I just cannot see what Beats has that is worth that money to Apple. Added to which, Apple keep their cash overseas for tax reasons. Beats is a US company.
