Sad that you let your time in the military define your existence. I served in the military 6 years, moved on to college for 6 years, enjoyed a couple of exciting careers, and I am about to embark on yet another exciting business venture, plus I still have many life plans.
I prefer to look and move forward instead of dwelling in the past.
If you honestly have less than a year left, gtfo off GFY and make the best of it, experience and enjoy what is left of your life (not bad general advice for everyone).
