Manslaughter is only charged when it's an accident that could have been prevented.
If she stepped out into traffic and there was no time to stop, then she accidentally killed herself.
As long as you were going the limit, didn't get a DUI, or test + for drugs, then you were just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The car behind you would have hit her if it wasn't you.
