Invalid argument about red states for many many reasons. And on top of that - people in US do not necessary vote republican or democrat based on that particular thing. Many vote because of unrelated issues such as religion, war, gay rights, drug rights and so on and on.
Meaning even welfare person could vote republican because of any of those reasons.
