We're very much in business.
Here's an email I sent out to some clients a few minutes ago. I plan to send another in a couple of hours (not doing them all at one time because spam and stuff).
Firstly, I?d like to apologize for sending out an email that isn?t custom-built for you. This is the first (and hopefully, last) bulk message that I?m sending to all clients that have been in contact with me during the last 6 months. I appreciate that unsolicited emails in your inbox really suck, but I have no other way of getting in touch with those that have recently sought contact with X Copywriters.
Secondly, I?d like to apologize for any lack of contact that you have had with X Copywriters over the last few months. A large number of issues have combined to make the experience for anyone using our service below that which I?d promised and hoped for. Most notably (and the reason why you?re receiving this email) is our mail server?s issues. It?s fair to say that if you have not received a reply to any email you have sent me, it?s likely due to the fact that we?ve received around 50% of the emails sent to us and been able to reply to less than 10% of those without regular issues. This is problematic for a number of reasons, but the main one is that many new potential clients have been completely ?ignored? by us for many weeks now.
During the move process, I was able to grab a number of email headers that were supposed to hit our inbox. Your email was included in this list, and as such, you?re getting this bulk-mail just in case you had an issue with previous work or needed consultation for a new project.
Thirdly, I?d like to make it clear that X Copywriters has now recovered from its issues and had a number of previous problems dealt with. I have moved our website, email server and cloud project management system to a new host as well as brought in another full-time writer to help pick up the pace on projects that are behind schedule. I believe there are very few clients with outstanding work (and more likely, many of you with money owed) but I?d like to correct this problem as quickly as possible.
Due to recent failures of project management system, I?m unable to figure out exactly where each of our clients is in terms of work completed and funds owed. Because of this, I?m hoping for honesty on your part and sleuthing of any documents I have on my part to get to the bottom and make sure every is compensated in a reasonable fashion.
So, please respond to this email if you:
? Have tried to contact us about new work but have been unable to receive a reply
? Have tried to contact us about funds owed but have been unable to receive a reply
? Have tried to contact us about previous projects that need amending but have been unable to receive a reply
? Have tried to contact us about any work-related matters, money management, sub-writer problems or for that matter, anything you can think of.
X Copywriters is, effectively immediately, back in business. I have worked hard to ensure that this temporary blimp is going to be more of a boost to take us to the next level of project management, and fully believe that the changes implemented by our team will ensure the level of service, content and responsiveness are back in line with our philosophy and what our clients expect.
If you have an issues, problems or questions, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
And again, I truly apologize for the bulk-message. Whether we?ve never spoken before or we chat on a daily basis, the reason you?re getting this is because you?re one of a lucky group of more than 300 email addresses that has been in touch since the start of 2014.
Thanks for your time and I hope to be in contact with you over the coming days.
Regards,
Will
