My great-uncle had one just like this, but not painted up, just same type of model.. anyways.... All he did was tear out the back seats and when he wanted to use it, put his porch couches in along the back and sides with a small bench in middle near front (if I recall correctly). If we came to a roadblock, we just all ducked down heh.
He would take his many kids, plus my grandmother, neighbors, etc and pile us into the van and go for drive out long winding deep-woods country roads to go fishing, drinking, camping, fiddlehead picking or just an excuse to drink in the woods they all grew up in. Not the smartest idea, though, they grew up on these roads long before cars were around those parts.
lot of fun times and could haul a shit-ton of people and stuff.
