1/2 the fun about godzlla is that it's always been a remake. even the original godzilla was a remake of gojilla. It's a giant monster movie, all of them are pretty much remakes of each other. godzilla isn't that different from king kong really.
it's also been ~15 years since a godzilla movie has been released.
