Russia reported that the vote for Crimea's annexation had a turnout of 83% with a 97% in favor vote. There were of course no international observers nor any independent sources. Everyone had to just trust Russia whom had armed solders in the streets.

Turns out the real results were briefly made public prior to them being snatched down. The other results showed that only 30% of the population voted in total and only 15% voted for annexation and 15% against.

Meaning it was no where near a slam dunk as the Russian's try to present to the world.. Imagine that..
