X-Men, Avengers, and S.H.I.E.L.D., and Spider-Man all operate in Earth-616 (primary continuum) for comics (primary canon) purposes. The "Marvel Cinematic Universe" contains X-Men, Avengers, and S.H.I.E.L.D. together, but not Spider-Man directly (although Spider-Man buildings and references were planned in the Avengers and X-Men movies before time concerns scrapped them).
