Celebrities charge when they need the $$. I had a friend that ran a celebrity appearance show in SM. Most celebrities like sports stars run out of movie pretty quickly once their careers slow down. They don't save.
People think all pornstars are worth millions as well. I think I have one pornstar client that is well situated financially.
It's very expensive to live in LA, not work that much and try to keep up "appearances" of being a star. I know of one star that had a Starbucks tab of about $1500 a month. That's a mortgage or rent for most people. For her it was coffee.

Sports stars and pornstars are on thing, being Stallone is another. Most sports stars and pornstars have pretty short careers and the pornstars often don't make as much as some people might think they do. Stallone, on the other hand, is another. According to The Richest he has made no less than $12 million dollars per year every year since 1984 and he has made around $60 million over the last few years just from the Expendables movies. This likely doesn't include residual checks that are likely pretty sweet, commercials, endorsements or anything else.
I suppose it is possible that he spends it as fast as he makes it, but I have a feeling he is pretty well off.
