When you are a puppet like Bush, Obama, Blair, Merkel, etc and everything is scripted for you then you don't even think about what is coming out of your mouth at times. They often do not catch these mistakes like you would in normal conversation where you are actually thinking up the words yourself and truly believe what you are saying.
