There's more to life than pornography. While a politician's stand on pornography is important considering our industry, it certainly isn't the only factor I look at.
I also think a certain amount of censorship is good for the industry. Part of the allure of porn is its taboo nature. If you could get hardcore midget bdsm videos in every corner store people would quickly tire of it. Don't forget Al Capone made his fortune selling booze during prohibition.

While there was a decline in obscenity prosecutions during the Clinton years, there still were prosecutions during his tenure.

If you believe a president is directly responsible for the performance of the economy you're a fool. While Clinton did balance the budget he was only able to do so because of higher tax revenue coming from a booming economy.
