I knew a guy that was opening a Mexican restaurant in Australia many years ago. He sent his chefs to SoCal so they could learn what it is supposed to taste like. Amsterdam has some great food but anyone seeking Mexican food there has to be a little daft. |
Good point. It is obviously totally impossible to learn how to cook a style of food and recreate a country's cooking style in another country. I mean, look at London, New York etc! You can only get pie and mash and roast dinner in London and I've never seen anything except hot dogs and pizza in Manhattan.
