Both guys are way over the top on their different spectrums. But by and large, the viewers just don't like left wing elitist types.
They don't come across as true "liberals". They are mean spirited and don't seem to show any of the compassion that real liberal people have.
They just seem to be hell-bent on the govt. being bigger and having total control.
Which doesn't sit well with most people. Thus the ratings difference.
And that's the real reason that Ed Shulz is attacking Hannity and challenging him to a "debate". He wants a ratings "rub".
When the "news" on MSNBC is now about one failed commentator (Shulz) attacking a successful one (Hannity), then it's no wonder that people don't watch MSNBC.

the fact that a far left guy has really bad ratings and a far right guy has really good should point something out to you Robbie.
People on the Left on average are not very extreme and are not interested in having a far left news source spoon feeding them. However on the Right, the extreme views are much more common and they like being spoon fed extreme views.
I mean really the proof is in the ratings..
