I'm kinda wondering if that's true. My mom is 69, she won't even allow a television in her home.
Most of the older people I know are the same way. They just don't watch it very much.
And of course kids these days hardly watch television at all. They are too busy on their smart phones.
The rest of us I think mostly just watch stuff like the shows on Pay Channels like "Game Of Thrones".
I can hardly stand to watch the "news" anymore.
Especially when something actually HAPPENS. lol
They will run the "story" into the ground until you just don't give a damn about it anymore.
For instance, the missing airplane. It was 24 hours around the clock "reporting". And the "reporting" was just talking heads discussing what they THINK might have happened.
It's just ridiculous...
